This refined pewter table lamp exemplifies the early aesthetic of Svenskt Tenn under the direction of its founder, Estrid Ericson. Produced by the Stockholm-based metalworkers Lagerstedt & Lindsström—key collaborators in the firm’s formative years—the lamp reflects a pared-back, modern sensibility softened by subtle curves and a gently flared base. The clean silhouette, poised on small bun feet, hints at early Swedish Grace influences while prioritising functionality over ornamentation.

Pieces such as this one were designed for the sophisticated yet restrained interiors favoured by Ericson before Josef Frank’s more exuberant influence took hold in the mid-1930s.
