Description
A boldly painted coastal landscape at dusk or sunset. The composition divides into three horizontal zones: an expressive foreground of dark reddish-brown rocks rendered in broad, gestural strokes; a luminous strip of shallow water or shoreline in teal and grey; and a calm deep-blue sea beneath a sky banded in pink, coral and pale blue. The handling is loose and painterly, with visible brushwork throughout.
