The gentleman's fabulous coiffure must mean he was a man of fashion - and as such I date these to the Regenecy period, but they might equally be later. I have to leave the final judgement to you.
They are painted, giving great detail to the hair of the subjects which has also been accented in gold. These distinctive portraits have been placed in cut out silhouette roundels which draws the eye into them. The whole is edged with embossed paper, and framed in ebonised wood. In lovely condition only a couple of tiny nics to the frame, see image. 4 3/4 by 3 5/8 inches
