West African Vintage Throw

Throw, from 1983 Northern Burkina Faso.
Made on a hand loom, with the weaver's big toes pulling a string to move the warp longitudinal threads up and down, to allow the passage of the weft side to side. 
 
The 11 strips are only loosely attached to each other. It is approximately 127cm broad and 257cm long.
