How much of an introduction does Liberty Nimmo really need? If you're any sort of Tat fanatic, you'll already know she's been writing for us for years. She's been a friend of mine since I was thirteen, and she remains one of those delightful people whose life never stops thrilling me.

May has moved like the wind and I am grateful to Tat London for accommodating my tardy monthly update. Between my own work, the garden and re-roofing the studio, there has barely been a moment. It is the time of the year for extending one’s reach, and the weeks have whistled by.

With the Chelsea Flower Show currently gripping the capitals attention, we turn instead to Herefordshire, where Liberty is locked in battle with Ground Elder. A plant I had previously assumed was a once a great delight and instead it is a horticultural nightmare. Still, while the weed may be relentless, Liberty’s mindset is admirably sage and as ever a delight to read.
