I’m trawling Rightmove, as usual. I have to say that Nottinghamshire isn’t currently serving up the most inspiring housing stock in my price range. Cities built in the Industrial Revolution and battered by WW2 bombs or unsightly ring roads don’t tend to have an abundance of bucolic charm. I divert my search to Herefordshire, or Suffolk, or the Highlands and Islands. I over-dramatically lament. Colour Therapy At No.3 Aldfield
In 2013 The Hayward Gallery held an exhibition called Light Show, a compendium of artists working with light. Light projected, light beamed, light you could bathe in. One work in particular has left an afterglow on the back of eyelids ever since, a series of interconnected rooms, each one lit in a pure hue of a different colour.
