A repoussé brass wall sconce in the Dutch/Flemish decorative tradition, formed from two hinged octagonal brass plates. The upper plate is embossed with a raised central boss above a stylized heart, surrounded by beaded borders and scrolling foliate ornament. The larger lower plate carries a bold central boss flanked by two smaller oval bosses, set within dense repoussé decoration of pebbled bosses, beading, and floral sprays. Three brass candle arms with drip pans and nozzles project from the lower plate. Height x width: 53 x 32 cm.
