Alberg Abbe was first a professional painter and studied at the Technical School in Helsingborg. He then trained at Caleb Althin's painting school in Stockholm. He studied in Paris at the Académie Colarossi for André Lhote , in Berlin in 1909 and in Paris in 1910 and was an early representative of modernism in Skåne .
