Description: A dreamlike, surrealist composition by Swedish artist Madeleine Pyk, rendered in loose ink line work with passages of blue watercolor wash. Elongated, biomorphic figures part animal, part human drift across the tan paper alongside an abstract cloud-like form touched with cobalt and black pigment. Signed "Rom." and "M. Pyk" in ink at lower right, the work is presented in a navy blue mat and gilt wood frame. Characteristic of Pyk's intuitive, subconscious-driven style, the piece evokes the fragmented imagery of dreams rather than a literal narrative.
