This intimate oil sketch depicts a traditional Sami gamme — a turf and stone dwelling nestled into a hillside in the Scandinavian north. The low, rounded structure seems almost to emerge from the earth itself, its dark entrance framed by tumbling rocks and overgrown vegetation, as though nature were gradually reclaiming the dwelling.
