Life Drawing Class (untitled on sheet)
Dimensions
Frame: 14 × 17 cm
Signed in pencil lower right; additional inscription lower leftA detailed interior view of a life-drawing class, with students arranged around a standing nude model. The scene is rendered through tightly worked linear marks characteristic of Sven Ljungberg, a Swedish painter and printmaker noted for his closely observed depictions of everyday life. Trained at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts, where he later served as rector (1972–1978), Ljungberg developed a distinctive graphic style marked by clear contours and an interest in ordinary interiors, workshops and communal settings. His work is held in major Swedish public collections, including the Nationalmuseum and Moderna Museet.
