A Wardrobe Worthy Of The Solstice & Beyond
29th May

So, this is a little out of my remit. I admit , I’m no fashion journalist or aficionado, but stay with me. Do you know how many fashion people end up in interiors? Quite a few. I’ve long suspected that those in fashion treat the interiors industry as something of a golden parachute. Having cut their teeth in what’s considered ‘cool’, they gently disembark from the trend-driven treadmill and land softly in the world of interiors.
And what do we do? We welcome them with mostly open arms (because we're scared of them) . You don’t often see it happen the other way round, and why would you? Interiors is a lovely industry: warm, creative, and full of cottage industries that are, frankly, the lifeblood of what we do. Yes, we may not be quite as well dresse, but who cares? (Well, I do. Obviously.)
I couldn’t tell you what’s setting Gen Z alight right now, but I can show you a list of pieces I find ravishig, even if many are out of reach, financially speaking (especially if you work in interiors). That’s never stopped me from sharing things worth appreciating, regardless of their price tag.
Which brings me to this list. I’m currently 8.5 months pregnant, so most of it isn’t just out of my budget, it’s well out of my waistline. These days, my sartorial thrills come via XL second-hand Armani shirts On Vinted, a marvellous resource if you happen to be in the family way. All that being said, I’d be overjoyed if one of you found a natty piece for your summer outings. Bonne chance!
