Blue Firth. You will know the name if you have spent any time with Tat. She is the creative force behind Dohm Shop she also, very generously, writes for us. Before getting to her Christmas list it is worth pausing on her contribution. She sees the world slightly off to one side, in the best possible way, and it means she notices things most of us step straight past.
She is the person who led me to Lucinda Lambton and for that alone I owe her a debt. Her pieces for Tat arrive with a heft of positivity and a slant of eccentricity, they are of course much beloved by us at Tat.
So of course I asked her for her thoughts on Christmas and of course she did not disappoint.
The perfect replica glass makers - I dream of a table of these.
Nothing is more festive than the umber glow of beeswax and these add a fairytale element.
I am biased but if I didn't have one I'd like one.
Everything about Berodulat exudes beauty, tenderness and authenticity - I can't wait to get my hands on this book.
On a recent visit to Penreath and Hall I caught a whiff of this and now I need it in every room.
An advent calendar of Rowdy and Fancy's would be Christmas Bliss.
Glass beads, history and kilt pins!
I can't believe this is still up for grabs. It's perfect.
When the packaging is so good you don't need to wrap it.
NYE here I come.
Favourite Christmas Drink
At home, we call this "The Elixir"
Basically a hot toddy but with loads of honey, fresh rosemary, thyme and apple cider vinegar.
You can add anything Christmassy that you have around: orange peel, cranberries, ginger etc. It's kind of medicinal but really refreshing.
Whisky or brandy ( pour as you like it )
Hot water
Spoonful of honey
Sprig of rosemary
Sprig of thyme
Tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
Orange peel / dash of juice
Favourite Christmas Film
Well I want to answer with any BBC Ghost Story for Christmas which seems rather high brow when the answer really is The Holiday.
