Get It Together - A new feature where we ask a designer to do a little scheme for us. For the first foray into this feature, I relied on my old friend Georgie Stogdon, a Tat Favourite.

Two things I’ve been itching to use for ages are a) this wallpaper by William Morris and b) this wonderful French bedhead with integrated bedside tables that is being sold by one of the best - Sauce. The wicker bed is on a smaller scale, so perhaps it would suit a bedroom for a young girl or a smaller guest…

The room is soft, warm and feminine, but to temper the sweetness (as is often the effect of any kind of wicker or floral paper), I have picked mid-century lighting and contemporary seating for a hit of harder, less organic material.

As for the details, all chosen to contrast yet complement: the tactile weight of beautiful hooks, the cuddliness of a sheepskin underfoot to the elegant power of the equestrian drawing.
