42 Ikea Best Buys, November 2026
This all came about as over the weekend I popped into the Ikea on Kings Street in Hammersmith, it was a big deal when Ikea showed itself in that corner of London and I will give them their dues. They have tried their hardest to bring the community in and brought a little life back to the rather depressing shopping centre that they now inhabit. Anyhow it is not their civic actions that have caused me to do a round up it was in fact the workbench that you will see in the top spot. I saw it when I popped in and I can't deny I thought it was a nifty bit of kit. Add a couple of wheels on that table and you've got yourself one hell of a kitchen mate.
As much as I do like to sing the song of the artisans, one can't deny Ikea has a place in all of our hearts. I haven't met many people who haven't bought as much as a tumbler from them in their lives. Great designers have always added a piece to their creations, I remember Alidad's 2024 room at Wow House had sneaky little rug from Ikea and if Alidad does it it must be ok.
So I do hope you will enjoy these pieces below, I have tried not to just focus on the easy finishing touches I have added shelves, chairs and a bonus under £300 bed at the bottom. I wanted this to be as useful to those starting out, starting again or in need of some cheaper options.
