There’s something truly special about stepping into an artist’s studio. It’s not just a workspace — it’s a world filled with energy, ideas and raw creativity. You see the paint splatters, half-finished projects, sketchbooks, tools and personal rituals that don’t always make it into the final piece. And that’s what makes it so powerful.
For quite some time now, I’ve been on a quiet mission to seek out studios and artists’ homes. It’s even become my main reason to travel. But I know I’m not alone in this.
Studios offer a behind-the-scenes look at how creativity actually happens — not polished, but real. It’s messy, honest and full of heart. You can feel the artist’s passion in the room, and it often sparks something in your own creative spirit, whether you’re an artist yourself or simply someone who appreciates the process. Or perhaps you just “steal” one or two ideas for how to organise the space.
