So forgive me; this could be some of the most boring content I have provided. It will resemble a holiday slide show from a bygone era. Those deadly moments when your neighbour or relation said the words, 'You'll probably want to see our photographs from Eygpt'. Well, buckle up; here I am to regale you with pictures of my recent holiday to Rajasthan. I promise this is not because I want to show off my extraordinary escape. But more than that, the rooms of Rajahastan were some of the most captivating I had seen, and I thought, why not share these remarkable places with you? That is how these blogs started: amateur photography and amateur documentation, eh, viola!

We were in Rajasthan for two weeks. We were lucky enough to enlist the help of Louise Nicholson, who helped make our trip so exciting and incredibly relaxing—two things that perfectly mingled together with her talents.

N.B A lot of the rooms below aren't rooms.

Nagaur Fort showcases a blend of Rajput and Mughal styles, making it a fascinating destination to spend some time in. Luckily, through extensive restoration, this Fort has been brought back to life and is open for visitors to tour. They also have a hotel within the fort, a truly glorious place to spend a few nights. It has one of the most sublime pools I have ever swum in, and our hotel room was draped in beautiful fabrics by Briggite Singh.

With its azure hues and historic allure, Jodhpur is a city where the past dances with the present. At its heart, RAAS Jodhpur brings a splash of modernity amidst ancient spectacles. Nestled in the shadow of the towering Mehrangarh Fort, this boutique hotel blends traditional Rajasthani architecture and contemporary design, offering a joyous sanctuary from which to explore the city.

Udaipur, the City of Lakes, is a symphony of romance, history, and tranquillity, serenading those who wander its streets. At its heart, the City Palace stands as a testament to the grandeur of Rajasthan's royal past. It was undoubtedly one of my favourite places to visit; the details within that palace were exquisite.

My other highlight was seeing a crocodile lazing about on a small island. I would have taken a picture, but those of you who have been to Udaipur will know that your concentration needs to be firmly on the road, as if not, you are asking to be run down.

(Sorry I do realise these photos are atrocious, but perhaps a cm of a photo could offer a seedling of inspiration)
