When was the last time you considered staying in a hotel in the UK? If you have done this in the last couple of years, I guarantee you were surprised by the cost. And if not, well madam, I am impressed by the depth of your pockets.
Earlier this year my sister, mother and I wanted to go away for a night. Some bonding, some relaxation, and dare I say a wee bit of gaiety. We wanted a martini, perhaps a swim, and to laze around chatting without the demands of home life. My sister and I set about looking for a place that could house these merriments. We came up short. Extremely short.
