Antiques That Have Caught My Eye, September 2026
What a sturdy set of beauties we have for you below. I am really rather taken with the selection: only one small piece from Tat and no affiliate links, so you must know I really do believe in the good in these goods.
One person I'd like to highlight is the dealer Houghton Brown, who has had a whirlwind few weeks and was placed on my Instagram path by many designers I adore. It's no surprise he has been so applauded. He had a pop-up shop last week (astoundingly, it missed my desk), but gosh, what a triumph it looked. He has a terrific eye and the pieces are well priced. One to have in your black book.
As ever, we have summoned some fine pieces from the very best in the business. I can't help but be pre-jealous of whoever buys no. 11 and no. 15, two absolute winners. I congratulate myself on the fine selection of pieces for under £500; they look smashing. Anyway, enough of my back slapping, it is now for you to judge.
