Well, I cannot deny that these beds are by no means cheap, but they are, without question, interesting, and that, to my mind, is the more persuasive quality.

Here there are Victorian doubles, Venetian headboards, and Edwardian four posters, all of them offering some version of theatre at the end of the day. Who does not want at least the suggestion of romance when going to bed. And if you feel otherwise, fear not. Quite a few of the examples below look as though a full night’s sleep might be optimistic, but that is hardly the point. These are beds to be considered, to be admired, perhaps even to be slightly intimidated by, and occasionally, if one is brave enough, to be slept in.
