Romantic Haunts To Take Your Loved One


Someone I know was once whisked away to Vienna. She was told all she needed to bring was a gown. They went to the opera that night and had the most delightful of weekends. It inevitably ended in disaster but really, what are memoirs for if not a scattering of glamorous, ultimately ill advised escapades. I implore you to make the memories. Perhaps they will not end in disaster. And even if they do, at least you will have left the house. And that is always a good start.


We have included pubs, halls, shepherds huts and the like. The going rate at the moment seems to hover around £150 a night, although there are a few that come in a little lower. By the by, you may well be like me, or indeed 99.9 percent of the population, and be staying home on the 14th. Still, Valentine’s Day falls on a weekend this year and if you have the means, why not do something a touch more adorable. I use the word ironically, though I fear I have employed it so often it may have lost all irony entirely.
