Our Picks Of The Best Properties On The Market For £500k & Under
Dyffryn House

We welcome back an old friend to this list: the wonderful Dyffryn House, which featured in Knock Knock back in 2021. We’ve long admired what Helen has done with this house. You’d be hard-pressed to find many properties as glorious as this, ready to make your own. One can only imagine the memories made here — by Helen, her family, and the many others who’ve rented it over the years. It’s the kind of home that lends itself to scavenger hunts, late-night drinking, and perhaps the odd singalong. We would, of course, be by the fire, ignoring all these proceedings — but thankfully there’s room enough for everyone.

So this month’s star property is clearly Dyffryn House. But fear not, we have many others.

A perfect blend of Victorian and Georgian elegance, this exquisite 1790s home beautifully captures the charm of its era. Warm and inviting, it offers half an acre of gardens—ideal for alfresco entertaining or cultivating your own plants and vegetables. Dyffryn is a true retreat, lovingly maintained over the years to create a timeless sanctuary that you can call your own.

Set in the serene South Norfolk countryside, this stunning Anglian home, once a Grammar School, is a breathtaking blend of history and charm. This early Georgian residence boasts original features, including sash windows, wooden floorboards, and a 17th-century inglenook fireplace. The current owners have lovingly restored its character, highlighting traditional touches like the beautiful Norfolk pamment floor, making it a truly exceptional home.
