Genuine love for many of the below.
My choice of the most beautiful wallpaper on the market.
I have always been somewhat against wallpaper, which I feel has come from seeing too many houses wallpapered to an inch of their lives. I find it slightly overwhelming, and it can date very quickly. This has all changed for me, I am now considering wallpapering two rooms in my home. One is a spare bedroom, which I think we are going to do in Pomegranate by Lewis & Wood, and the other room is the stairway to our basement, which I believe needs a considerable amount of cheering up. That dear reader is what led me to create this list of wallpapers. I have spent much of the last weekend trolling through websites, creating this list. It is long, but I do hope it is helpful. We have left the prices out as many websites don't display them. But be warned, I have not gone bargain basement here; there will be some costly coverings ahead.
A few things to note -
You will see I am drawn to florals and stripes. Florals are so comforting, and stripes are iconic. I am not talking about the big ballooned stripes you see at a fair; I am talking about the more delicate stripes that Helene Blanche does so well.
The website I most enjoyed was Soane. They have put so much time and effort into creating glorious lifestyle images, which are helpful when visualising your own home.
The company that blew my socks off was Nicole Fabre. It had been some time since I had ventured onto her site and looked through her portfolio of patterns, and I was basically drooling by the end.
Antoinette Poisson also made quite the impression on me; I have seen their designs used by a few designers, and each time, they really turned my head.
It may sound obvious, but always get a sample. I leave them up on the way for a day or two. If your eye delights in happiness at the mere glimpse of it, you know it’s a keeper.
In petit spaces, light hues and subtle designs are your confidants, making the room breathe and expand before your eyes. Yet, in more grandiose quarters, we can afford to be bold! Large patterns and rich colours can turn merely spacious into decidedly spectacular, bringing each room to its full, glorious potential.
Overall, this list is made primarily for my use so that I can continually refer to it, but if it is at all helpful to you, huzzah!
