Well, we’ve got ourselves into a bit of a muddle. I’ll put my hands up — this was bound to happen eventually. We’re stuck between a rock (homes with potential) and a hard place (the budget).

I am rather proud of this selection. I can tell you, it takes some time to find such a curation of houses that mix beauty with a touch of degradation. That being said, around ten percent are really in quite good nick and would only need a thin lick of paint to be back in sturdy shape.

We welcome back an old friend to this list: the wonderful Dyffryn House, which featured in Knock Knock back in 2021. We’ve long admired what Helen has done with this house. You’d be hard-pressed to find many properties as glorious as this, ready to make your own. One can only imagine the memories made here — by Helen, her family, and the many others who’ve rented it over the years.
