Welcome to the Silverhill House, where you get the best of both worlds! Nestled in the peaceful countryside, this charming home is just a twenty-minute drive from the beautiful Spanish Point Beach. Back 'o The Beyond Cottage will have you drop your shoulders and rest your head. Escape to the countryside in this traditional farmhouse nestled amongst the hills. The stone cottage has an open fire with a wood burner, an ideal setting to put your feet up after a long day and recharge. Take your day away from the screen and hire a boat, sit in nature, or even hike and explore your surroundings.
Situated on the seafront, the delightful and refurbished Beach House offers a warm retreat with a wood burner and a balcony overlooking the coast. Its perfect location is just a short walk from Porthleven town and under an hour's drive to St Ives, Penzance, and Falmouth.
This late 18th-century Shepherd's Cottage is located in East Sussex, and it feels as if all our holiday dreams have come true. There isn’t a corner that hasn’t been cared for, whether the stencilled walls or the exquisitely thought-out kitchen. I think we could all do with a night here, phones off, food in, and wine ready.
Step into the charm of a Georgian home, complete with open fireplaces, wooden-paneled walls, four-poster beds, and original stone floors. Nestled in the delightful town of Sandwich in Kent, famous for its medieval buildings and quaint passages, this home is a true gem. You're just a short drive away from the wonderful towns of Deal, Ramsgate, and Margate, and Canterbury is less than an hour's drive away.
You can’t go wrong with the Sea Room, where the sea is on your doorstep. Three large windows in the open-plan living area create a bright, airy space perfect for relaxing, cooking, and chatting. Spend your days on the beach or take a leisurely stroll up the coast to Hastings. Plus, with a direct train from London Bridge to St Leonard's Warrior Square taking just one and a half hours, it's an easy escape from the city.
This is just such a great property. Yes, there aren’t any bells and whistles, but on paper, this place just has it. There is lots of room and space, and it has beautiful surroundings. You can have all the fair at home or take a day by the seaside to Bowleaze Cove or Weymouth Beach. The home is a short drive to Athelhampton House & Gardens, Sculpture by the Lakes, and National Trust Hardy's Cottage.
This is a fan favourite, a tat favourite. It has been featured in The World of Interiors, so of course, we bloody love it. I am always surprised it has weeks free, but it does, and I think one of you should go and live out my ‘Far From The Madding Crowd’ dreams.
It's the perfect trip to bring the family together under one roof. With spacious bedrooms for resting and a cosy wood-burning fire for gathering in the cooler months, this 15th-century property offers a unique blend of airy natural light and comforting exposed beams and brick walls. It truly provides the best of both worlds. Visiting any time of year would be blissful.
Located in the gorgeous village of Rotherfield, you'll find a charming local pub just a short stroll away. A quick drive will take you to Crowborough, which has everything you might need, including a train station with a direct line to East Croydon, making it easy to connect to London.
What's not to love about a 700-year holiday let? Nothing. This is where we should all be going. We will dive into the wonderful pond and then hot up in their round wooden sauna, finished off with dinner in the long dining room. Not cooked by me.
The Old Coach House in Enfield is a delightful retreat where the family owners live just across the way on the same estate. With 20 acres of gardens to explore and loads of games and activities, including a tennis court, there's never a dull moment. This charming Georgian home, built in 1838, was originally a farmhouse and boasts exposed brick, a grand stable door, and lovely sash windows. Plus, it's less than an hour's drive to Dublin, perfect for a fun day trip to the capital.
This house has been a magazine. I can’t remember which one, but it will come to me. I think if I were to be looking for myself, I’d have to choose this place. It has everything I ever want. The interiors are charming, with antique textiles, well-chosen fabrics, and expertly chosen furniture; it is really something (take away the fake flowers, and I am 100% in).
A beautiful Manor Cottage with wisteria growing up the outer walls, you are greeted with a cobbled courtyard, which creates a warm feeling in this home and is carried throughout the property. With exposed beams, window seats, an inglenook fireplace, large cosy bedrooms, and a unique wooden bathroom, this home is perfect for relaxing and switching off from the busy life. If you fancy a day out, it is a short drive to Stourhead Estate or Frome, plus under an hour's drive to Bath.
It doesn’t take a genius to work out why this is on the list; it’s as if AI has just come up with the Nancy Meyers property by the sea in Suffolk. A home just waiting for a single woman to wrap a shawl around herself, sipping her morning coffee as she catches the eye of the silent but handsome fisherman. I should stop there because I feel like this is becoming a bodice ripper.
