It is imperative to have a holiday on the horizon, if that's not possible we are all for taking five minutes to have a quick holiday daydream.

Twenty Five Ravishing Airbnbs
Twent Five Ravishing Airbnbs

Oh boy, have we combed the UK for some ravishing Airbnbs - Like our previous list, these are for you to save, share and muse upon. Perhaps someone you know is in need of a little weekend away, maybe a few nights in a Georgian townhouse in Deal or a thatched cottage in Ireland? Or maybe you want to have a night out in Margate and stay in a seductive seventies pad; well, we have got you covered. We present you twenty-five homes that would not look out of place in the pages of any mag, and even if you’re not looking for an escape, perhaps they could offer up some interiors inspiration. Everyones a winner!

A perfect getaway for a large family or group of friends. Imagine returning to that drawing room after a day of walking and sitting back, chewing the fat with friends with a martini hand. Heaven, now we just need to make a few more friends.

There aren’t many places like this. A converted chapel with scandi-influenced interior design. The exterior and interior look like they would never get on, but in fact, they are the best of friends and make for a beguiling home that would make a truly memorable and stylish stay.

Are you someone who loves long country walks, historical houses and acres of greenery? Well, this one could be for you. Saddlery Cottage sits on the grounds of Treberfydd House, a Victorian mansion credited by Mark Girouard, author of The Victorian Country, as "one of the most attractive and successful of Victorian country houses".

Years ago, The National Trust converted this darling water mill —it’s a short drive to Holkham Beach, Sandringham and Norfolk Lavender Fields. Natural light drenches the house. The view from the window alone will be a holiday in itself.

This freshly renovated Butlers Cottage has been brought into the 21st Century. No, there aren’t Oculus headsets everywhere rather it just looks well decorated, charming and comfortable. We have always been big fans of a box bed, so to see two is a real treat. That and the hot tub make for the perfect Scottish fling.

Well, Fanny is the only one in a Dilemma. We are all for this delightful Townhouse in Deal. The mixture of modern and traditional makes for the perfect base for the person who wants a bit of everything. It has three handsome bedrooms, a cosy drawing room, and a light-filled kitchen - what’s all the worry about Fanny?!

Welcome to the groovy seventies. This self-contained studio flat will get you in the groove to hit Margate on a night out. Here, you are a stone’s throw from the beach, and you have marvellous views from your loft studio, all in all, a real winner of a place.

A perfect getaway to put your phone down and explore the countryside. The Hobbit House is nestled on an 11-acre site, Sychpwll Centre. Though the name Hobbit House might make you think it’s on the wee side, worry not. It’s spacious, light and full of character. We feel Samwise Gamgee would approve!

Who hasn’t dreamed of owning a Georgian Rectory? Well, we have, actually, we’ve spent a lot of the last ten years dreaming of that Georgian Rectory. It doesn’t seem to be getting any closer, so a stay in this ravishing home will heal the injustices of not having our own.

Gardens, yeah, they’re ok. That’s what one could have thought before visiting Kiftsgate Court. There, your eyes will be met by one of the most glorious gardens ever to grace the English countryside. You may well think this is a summer retreat, but don’t be fooled. Kiftsgate is the perfect location for an exploration of Gloucestershire and the surrounding counties. All this, and we haven’t even mentioned the fabulously 80s interiors.

This sublimely coloured Georgian cottage is really something special. Clearly decorated by someone with an unmistakable aesthetic. That brass bath, with the blue walls and the touch of pink, is something to admire. All this and you’re in the centre of Rye, we shan’t chatter on, as we’ve already done a guide to Rye.

This pet-friendly charmer is an ideal getaway for those exhausted with the gadgets, screens and day-to-day toil of the 21st century. Here, you can sit mesmerised by the fire, then when you’ve had your fill of those dancing flames, you can take a couple of steps, and you’ll find yourself pretty much in bed. Great for those days when all you can do is roll into bed.

Margate, the trendiest of the coastal towns, has offered up this checkered, striped delight. Clean, trendy and with all the accoutrements one could ask for. One must make a booking at Sargasso if you are going down as they have some of the greatest fish dishes known to man, plus some all too drinkable orange wine.

Georgian - tick, well decorated - tick, tv - tick! Deal is a Tat favourite, and we all know that Georgian interiors are a home run, so these two elements make this a winner. If you are popping down to Deal, I would strongly suggest a stop at The Rose. It does an excellent breakfast and a mean bloody mary.

Get in line, get in line! If this hasn’t got Tat written all over it, then I don’t know what does. Those windows are something special. Even the most gruesome day could look winsome and wonderful through those glass frames. This is an utter delight, and we really feel so happy to have delivered this potential holiday to you.

So you might not be able to swing the proverbial cat, but what you can do is have an adorable time in this Wes Andersen-type cottage. Cleverly laid out and charmingly decorated, this has ‘wonderful weekend’ written all over it.

The word ‘picturesque’ doesn’t cover it. This place is straight out of a storybook. On a gloomy London evening, this couldn’t feel more like what the doctor ordered: kitchen suppers, records playing, and a cosy bed to creep into.

We will admit most places in County Cork could make it onto this list. It is one of the most handsome places in the world. It is perfect for holidays with children or perhaps a little getaway for two. Dunworley Bay is a stone’s throw away, and a little further, you have the musical Clonakilty and the historic Kinsale beyond. A perfect spot to explore Southern Ireland.

Why are Shepherds Huts so goddamn romantic? We probably idealise them, but you have to admit there is something so uplifting about finding yourself in the middle of a field, surrounded by nature and back to basics. Well, one up from basics, which makes the whole equation so delightful.

Oh la la, here we have a real wild card. This is charming, odd and adventurous. Perhaps the ideal romantic getaway. You are in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by exceptional countryside. You have a caravan with all the mod cons and, cherry on top, a Land Rover hot tub. Honestly, you can’t not make magic memories here.

So, this might be a hard sell for some, but for us, it is ideal. It feels as if you are stepping back into the 1940s—a cottage with simple interiors, well-made furniture and vintage fabrics. One could genuinely forget the 21st Century was on the doorstep and instead while away the hours with board games, reading and cooking. What a perfect place for a little respite.

Glory be! What a charming place to see! Even if none of us step foot in this darling home it’s an absolute delight to see. With colourful, collected and well-thought-out interiors, we couldn’t think of anything nicer than sitting in front of that wood burner, fed, watered and enjoying the home around you.
